02 Why there is no free tier
Somebody always pays for a free tutoring product
A tutoring product that costs the school nothing is funded somewhere else. In this category the usual somewhere else is the data: student work used to improve a model, or an audience assembled for later. With minors' work that is exactly the trade we refuse to make, so the product is paid for by the people who use it.
The practical consequence is that the privacy posture is identical on every tier. Classroom at $89/mo gets the same commitment as Enterprise: no training on student work, no advertising, no resale, deletion on request. Nothing about your data is a paid upgrade.
There is no standing trial. If we ever add one it will be a short trial that converts to paid, not a free tier with a different set of promises attached to it.

Per-skill mastery per student, exportable, with the student's own reasoning attached. It survives a board slide and an MTSS meeting because the wording came from the student, not from a summary.
A privacy posture built for minors
Student work is not used to train models. No advertising, no data resale, deletable on request. Designed around FERPA and COPPA obligations, and our security page states plainly which formal attestations we do and do not hold.
Rollout without a new workflow
SSO and rostering on the District tier. Teachers keep the material they already use. There is no new assessment window, because the evidence is a by-product of the tutoring session itself.

Check the arithmetic with your own numbers. A school on the $349/mo tier is roughly the cost of four to six hours of contracted human tutoring per month, and it covers up to 600 students. The hours you get back are the ones teachers spend working out why a student got it wrong, one paper at a time. Put your own figures into the cost-per-student estimator rather than taking ours.
- Can we pay by invoice against a purchase order?
- Yes on District and Enterprise. Classroom and School are card only, which is what keeps them cheap to run and quick to start.
- What happens if we go over the student limit?
- Nothing breaks mid-term. We contact the billing address and move you to the next tier at the next renewal, prorated.
- Do evidence card limits reset monthly?
- Yes, on the billing date. Unused cards do not roll over.
- Can we switch from monthly to annual later?
- Yes, at any point. The remaining monthly balance is credited against the annual invoice.
- Is there a discount for multi-year?
- On Enterprise, as part of custom terms. Below that the annual price is the discount.
- Who owns the data if we leave?
- You do. Export before you close the account, or ask us to export for you. On request we delete everything rather than retaining it.
