Coeducate terms of service

The agreement that governs use of coeducate.ai and the Coeducate service. Last updated 3 September 2026.

The agreement

These terms are between you and the operator of the Coeducate service at coeducate.ai. By creating an account, signing up for updates or using the service, you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a school, district or company, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization.

What the service is

Coeducate is a software service that tutors students over material the customer supplies and produces a per-skill mastery record from each session. It is a tool for educators. It does not replace a teacher, it does not make placement or disciplinary decisions, and its output is information for a professional to act on.

Accounts and eligibility

  • Accounts are held by adults acting for a school, district, tutoring program or company.
  • Students access tutoring through the customer's account. There is no direct consumer signup for minors.
  • You are responsible for the security of your credentials and for the activity of the accounts you create.
  • You will tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service to produce material that is unlawful, harassing or harmful to a student;
  • attempt to extract, reverse engineer or resell the underlying models or the service itself;
  • submit data you have no right to submit, including records belonging to another organization;
  • circumvent rate limits, quotas or access controls, or probe the service for vulnerabilities without written permission;
  • present the service's output as a formal assessment, diagnosis or clinical judgement.

Student data

Where you submit education records, you remain the controller of them and we process them on your instruction. We do not use student work to train models, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising. Records are deletable on request. The privacy policy and the student privacy page set this out in full, and they form part of this agreement.

You are responsible for having the authority to share the records you submit, and for the notices and consents your own jurisdiction requires.

Billing and cancellation

  • Plans are monthly or annual, in US dollars, and are charged in advance.
  • District and Enterprise may be invoiced against a purchase order; Classroom and School are card only.
  • You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the paid period. We do not prorate a cancelled month.
  • Moving from monthly to annual credits the remaining monthly balance against the annual invoice.
  • Exceeding a plan limit does not interrupt service mid-term; we contact the billing address and move the account to the appropriate tier at renewal.
  • There is no free tier and no standing free trial.

Availability and support

We aim to keep the service available and to give notice of planned maintenance, but outside an Enterprise agreement with a named SLA we do not commit to an uptime figure. Support is by email at app@coeducate.ai, with a target of one business day on School and above.

Intellectual property

The service, its interface and its underlying software remain ours. Your material stays yours: the content you upload, the work your students produce and the records derived from them belong to you, and you grant us only the license needed to run the service for you.

AI output and accuracy

Coeducate uses AI models. Model output can be wrong, and a diagnosis can misread a piece of work. Every skill row carries the evidence it was based on precisely so that a teacher can check it. Do not use the output as the sole basis for a grade, a placement, an intervention decision or any other determination about a student.

Warranties and liability

The service is provided as is, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits or lost data. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that puts students at risk or that we are required to close by law. On closure we export your records for you and then delete them.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email to account holders and by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use after that means the updated terms apply.
